The NXL Referee Clinic is coming to Upstate Action Park in Bloomfield, NY, September 12–13, 2026, giving players and paintball enthusiasts the chance to earn official NXL referee certification.
🏁 MORE THAN JUST WATCHING THE GAME
Being a referee isn’t about standing on the sidelines.
Refs are responsible for understanding the rules, controlling the field, making calls under pressure, communicating with players and other officials, and helping keep the game moving fairly and safely.
If you know paintball, love the game, and want to become more involved in the competitive side of the sport, becoming an NXL-certified referee can be a serious opportunity.

The $25 registration fee is refunded when you work your first NXL event.
According to the posted information, there are no refunds once the clinic has started and no-shows are not eligible for refunds.
🧠 COME PREPARED
The clinic requires participants to print and bring the NXL rulebook.
That means this isn’t a “show up and figure it out” weekend. Come ready to learn, pay attention, ask questions and understand what it takes to officiate at the NXL level.
Certification is listed as being valid for two years.
