The Hooligans Battle Through the Pittsburgh Open Classic 2026
The road to the Classic Cup continued this past weekend as The Hooligans traveled to Urban Assault Paintball for the Pittsburgh Open Classic 2026. With nearly 50 Amateur 10-Man teams from across the country in attendance, the event proved once again why the Classic Series is one of the toughest tests in tournament paintball.
Every event this season has been about growth, building chemistry, and gaining experience against some of the best Amateur 10-Man programs in the nation. Pittsburgh was another important step in that journey.

Saturday – A Day of Ups and Downs
The Hooligans opened the tournament on the Woods field against Richmond Remechs and immediately made a statement.
Game 1
The Hooligans 98 – Richmond Remechs 4
An explosive start gave the team confidence and valuable event points to begin the weekend.
Game 2
Los Angeles Faction 95 – The Hooligans 10
The second match featured one of the stronger teams in the division. The Hooligans continued battling despite facing relentless pressure.
Game 3
Ohio Outlaws 94 – The Hooligans 12
Against the eventual tournament champions, the Hooligans never stopped fighting and gained valuable experience against one of the nation’s best Amateur 10-Man programs.
Game 4
StL Suspects 18 – The Hooligans 12
A much closer contest saw the Hooligans remain competitive throughout before falling late.
Game 5
The Hooligans 19 – Pittsburgh Mercenaries 13
The team answered back with its second victory of the weekend, showing resilience and determination after consecutive losses.
Game 6
The Hooligans 15 – FRACTION 15
Saturday concluded with a hard-fought draw against FRACTION, earning another valuable point heading into Championship Sunday.

Sunday – Finishing the Fight
Sunday’s bracket paired the Hooligans against two more nationally competitive programs.
Game 7
Sniper Squad 97 – The Hooligans 6
Sniper Squad would finish among the top teams of the weekend, providing another valuable measuring stick for the Hooligans.
Game 8
Midwest Legion 96 – The Hooligans 8
The final game closed out a challenging weekend against another experienced opponent, but the team continued to battle until the final whistle.

Pittsburgh Open Classic Results
The Hooligans finished the weekend with:

The victories over Richmond Remechs and Pittsburgh Mercenaries, along with a draw against FRACTION, earned the team 38 event points.
Those results placed The Hooligans 18th overall in the Pittsburgh Open Classic Amateur 10-Man Division.

While Pittsburgh didn’t end with a podium finish, it represented another important building block for this team. Every tournament has strengthened communication, sharpened teamwork, and added experience against elite competition.
Now the focus shifts to the final stop of the Classic Series:

The Hooligans will head into Maryland looking to build on everything learned throughout the season. With another major event ahead, practices will continue, chemistry will improve, and the goal remains the same:
Keep growing. Keep competing. Keep earning every point.
The 2026 season has already shown how far this team has come, and the Classic Cup will be another opportunity to prove that The Hooligans belong among the nation’s rising Amateur 10-Man teams.
